NEW ZEALAND PRE DECIMAL COIN INFORMATION

UK (United Kingdom) currency was the official circulating currency of New Zealand until 1933 when the first coins began being minted. It has to be mentioned that Australian coins, tokens and notes were also good as money in these colonial times.

The first New Zealand crown was minted in 1935, and the last in 1953. Dates not minted: 1933 to 1934 1936 to 1948 1950 to 1952 1953 to 1967
